Looking for a second-hand bike? Or have you got one you want to sell?
St John’s Family and Friends are holding a Big Bike Sale – along with a nearly-new sale – this Saturday (February 25) to raise funds for new sports pitches for the school.
Bring your bike to the school at 9am on Saturday, set a price and, if it sells, Family and Friends take 20 per cent commission. If it doesn’t sell, you can either pick it up from 3.30pm, or donate it to Bikes4Africa, a charity that reconditions bikes to allow children to ride to school.
Family and Friends are also selling nearly-new clothes, shoes, DVDs, books, unwanted gifts, bric-a-brac, toys and games. Donations can be dropped at the school from 4.30-8pm on Friday 24 February. Shopping will start at 10am on Saturday and finish at 4pm. A cake stall will be open all day.
