If you’re a school, parish council or community group in need of some office furniture check out what’s on offer following the closure of two of Wiltshire Council’s office blocks. And it’s free.
Following the closure of the Bradley Road offices in Trowbridge and the Browfort offices in Devizes (known to many Marlborough News Online readers as the headquarters of the late Kennet District Council), Wiltshire Council is clearing the buildings and offering the surplus office furniture and equipment.
Council teams and services as well as local organisations such as schools, parish councils and community groups are invited to select items for reuse which will be allocated free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
Open days will be held on 16 January at Bradley Road and 17 January 2013 at the Browfort site. The sites will be open between 9.30am and 4pm and you will need to arrange your own transport for the items you wish to take. All furniture should be collected within a few days of selection.
All you have to do is email furniture_and_asset_reuse@wiltshire.gov.uk as soon as possible to indicate your interest and when you would like to visit the sites to select items your organisation can use – either morning or afternoon.
