St Francis Prep School, based in Pewsey, lived up to their school emblem of a wheatsheaf, with their Harvest Festival Assembly. To help those in need this season, pupils from across the school brought in food donations for the foodbank in Devizes,.
Mandy Pilgrim, Head of the Pre-Prep Department at St Francis explained, “It is incredibly important that we impress upon our pupils their good fortune in having enough to eat, and that not everyone is as lucky. Our pupils learned about their peers locally and internationally who may be struggling for supplies and how they can help them.”
During the Senior Prep Assembly Headmaster David Sibson encouraged the audience to consider the many aspects of Harvest, using anagrams, which the pupils fared better at than some of the parents!
David Sibson added, “It was great to see the school community pull together to donate such a quantity of vital supplies for local families. I was, and remain, exceedingly proud of the St Francis community.”
