The Racing Post has reported that the Sangster family are putting Manton estate up for sale at the end of April. They have owned the historic training estate for 30 years.
The 2,200-acre estate has more than 200 loose boxes in four separate yards.
Earlier this week Manton’s 100-strong staff were informed of the family’s decision by Guy Sangster.
It will be the second time the Sangsters have sought a buyer for the estate that also includes Manton House and Manton Lodge, 17 staff cottages, ten flats and two hostels for stable staff.
Robert Sangster, who bought Manton in 1984 at a reported price of £10 million, sought offers for it five years later but none matched his asking price.
MNO is seeking further details.
