Pupils at Preshute Primary School have designed and created two mosaics to represent their school as part of a curriculum focus on the arts this term. The winning designs were created by Daisy in Year 5 and Josephine and Ella in Year 3. The mosaics were then created in workshops run by visiting artist, Alex Miles. One of the mosaics will be on display at the entrance to the school and another in the new school building.

Alex Miles commented, “It’s brilliant the children have created the designs and we want to make sure the final mosaics are as near to the original as possible.”

Headteacher, Claire Hann-Perkins, said, “The children have been having a lot of fun participating in a lot of different arts activities. We will be holding an exhibition at the end of term to celebrate the arts and the Platinum Jubilee. All parents will be invited.”
