On Wednesday, January 23 NICE will be holding its public board meeting and question time session at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
NICE is the NHS’ National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence which gives guidance across health and social care services on drugs and treatments. It is especially well known for its work on the cost and benefits of newly available treatments.
A question time session with NICE’s chief executive, Sir Andrew Dillon, will be held before the main board meeting. This session offers a great opportunity to raise any questions about the work of NICE.
Andrew Dillon said: “Every two months the NICE Board meets in a different venue, moving from region to region to ensure that all those interested in its work can come along to hear about latest developments. We look forward to seeing you there.”
The NICE question time will run from 12.30pm until 1.30pm and will be followed by the Board Meeting at 1.45pm. Both sessions will take place in The Academy at the Great Western Hospital.
The meetings are open to everyone, but places are limited and must be booked in advance. To register, please enter your details in the form provided on the NICE website. And there’s more information about the meeting here.
