Between 9pm and 6am for ten weekday nights starting Monday next week (7 June), the M4 Eastbound will be closed between J15 and J14 and all traffic aiming for London and Reading will be diverted down the A346, through the Ogbourne, into Marlborough, along the A4 to Hungerford and back up the A338 to rejoin the motorway at J14.
So, potentially two weeks of HGV overnight hell.
Adjacent is the letter sent out from Highways England giving details, click the letter to enlarge and also open up a new tab with info regarding diversions on the Highways England website.
To check on roadside air quality click the button above marked ‘Marlborough Air Quality’ to see the effect of the extra traffic on what we breathe. Sensor of mounted on a pole, beside the A4 just by Bridge Garage. All diverted traffic should be passing that stretch.
