Enivronment question time in Devizes

Claire Perry MP will be on the panel for a question time on environmental issues in Devizes Town Hall on January 24 – starting at 7.30pm. 

Also on the panel will be Helen Taylor – Ecotricity Ambassador, Helen Browning – chief executive of the Soil Association, and Mark Fletcher who stood as the Green Party candidate for the Devizes constituency in the 2010 general election.

The event will be chaired by ffinlo Costain – a local environmental journalist and writer. It is being organised by Pewsey Environment Action Team and Sustainable Devizes.

This is being seen as an opportunity to quiz Mrs Perry about the coalition government’s proposed  Energy Bill which will not include a target date for decarbonising the UK’s electricity industry.

Questions should be handed to an event organiser or emailed to ffinlo@ffinlo.org before 7.15pm on January 24.  Questions will be discussed by the panel and then opened up for debate by the audience.
