Marlborough’s 2018 Christmas Lights Switch-on Event and Christmas Market takes place on Friday, November 30 and as in previous years, the Town Council will be applying for a road closure.
The closure – covering the length of the High Street – will be from from 3.00pm to 9.00pm. It is necessary due to the number of people expected to attend the event and to ensure the safety of those people taking part and also the safety of members of the public.
The Council expect that with the continuing support for this occasion, a very large number of people will be in the High Street for the event.
If anyone has comments about the closure, they should send them to the Traffic Orders Team, Sustainable Transport Group, Wiltshire Council, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge BA14 BJN. Or by email to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk
Comments must be received by 15 October 2018 and must include the name and address of the person making the comment. Names will not be open to public inspection or included in any published report – unless you request otherwise.
Any comments will be forwarded to Marlborough Town Council for their response.
