Marlborough Community Choir is set for its most festive season ever with an initial even on November 29 when members will be singing to accompany the illumination of Marlborough’s Christmas lights.
Then the choir will be hosting Marlborough’s first Christmas fest, a free evening of musical entertainment for the town, on December 18, thanks to a grant from the Marlborough Area Board.
There will be six acts in total, ranging from folk to jazz and back again, and all the performers are giving their time and encouraging donations on the night to benefit Home-Start Kennet and Marlborough’s Jubilee Centre.
And this will be followed December 22 with an in-store sing at Waitrose, the choir also touring several care homes to sing for the residents.
