The Kennet Valley Arts Trust is organising a visit to Newbury’s famous Watermill Theatre to see their production of the hit musical Calamity Jane.
With an Oscar nominated score that includes The Black Hills of Dakota, The Deadwood Stage (Whip-Crack-Away), Just Blew in from the Windy City and the award-winning song Secret Love, this production is another of The Watermill Theatre’s acclaimed intimate musical shows.
The show stars Jodie Prenger as Calamity Jane – she won the BBC TV I’d Do Anything to take the lead as Nancy in the recent revival of Lionel Bart’s Oliver!
Calamity Jane can outrun and outshoot any man in Deadwood, but when she travels to Chicago on the Deadwood Stage it takes her more than a few songs to realise her Secret Love…
