The suggestion by Wiltshire Council that they will no longer allocate free parking spaces to towns and villages in November and December is disgraceful.
It means that local communities will have to pay hefty fees to Wiltshire Council for the various celebrations leading up to Christmas.
Are Wiltshire Council supporting local business in this vital trading period?
The Council talk a lot about “selling Wiltshire” and wanting to encourage tourism but this seems a poor way to go about it.
Can this be the same Council who have had broken parking meters for months (maybe years) and thus lost many thousands of pounds by their incompetence?
