Open Farm Sunday is back and full of farming fun for all the family
After a two-year hiatus, The Marlborough Downs – A Space for Nature is busy organising this year’s Open Farm Sunday at The Gourmet Goat Farmer, Avebury and visitors will get to see behind the scenes of this busy working farm and business as well as engaging with a whole array of farming stalls and activities for all ages.
There will be lots to see and do on the day:
• Meet our white park cattle, Boer goats and new-born kids
• Beekeeping
• Sheep shearing
• Spinning and weaving
• Face-painting
• Pets corner
• Cake stall, barbecue, and beer tent
• Family area
• Farm walk
• Picnic area
• Farming and country pursuits demonstrations
• Plenty of activities for children to enjoy, all with a farming, food or countryside
theme
The event will be ticketed to help us ensure a quality experience for all our visitors.
Tickets cost £15 per car, with up to five people included so you are encouraged to car share for better value. Everything is FREE including basic refreshments.
If you come on foot, bicycle, horseback or by public transport, you can include up to six people on your ticket.
The Space for Nature team is so excited to be able to host this wonderful event again and are really looking forward to welcoming visitors
