Sam Bushnell, from their Kingsbury Street salon has just been named Apprentice of The Year in the Hairdressing Section at the Swindon College.
“It’s a fantastic achievement for Sam, and for Segais and we’re really proud of her” said Charlotte Woodley, owner of Segais Hair & Beauty, pictured with Sam at the Awards Ceremony.
Sam joined Segais at their Wantage academy four years ago in 2013 and has grown into a very creative stylist under the tuition of the Segais team and now works in the Marlborough salon alongside Chloe and recent newcomer Harry.
Segais will be celebrating twenty years of trading this year, having started out as a small four seat salon in Wantage but now operating from Didcot as well as Marlborough. Their aim has been to bring city centre hairdressing to small market towns, giving the local populations what they would expect from major salons but without the need to travel.
Sam is in a good place to learn. ‘Segais’ comes from Irish Gaelic and can be translated as ‘the well of knowledge’ so plenty of opportunity to dip into that well for expertise.
Segais are at 5 Kingsbury St, Marlborough or visit their website for late deals and special offers.
