The popular ‘Pre-Loved Fashion’ event will be back in the Town Hall for a couple of days – Tuesday May 20 – doors opening at 6.30pm – and on Wednesday 21. And the highlight will be a Catwalk Show on the Tuesday evening at 7pm with models showing off some of the superb, attractive and quality items donated for this event. So see, fall in love with, then buy…..
But there is also the offer of a voucher – a £5 voucher that Bobby Van will be offering to everyone that buys a ticket to the Tuesday exclusive sale time and Catwalk show. Buy a ticket and then send off to the Bobby Van Trust (to email address susanna@wbvt.org, with proof of ticket purchase – see t&C below) and that voucher can then be used against the cost of any of the pre-loved clothing or items in the sale that you buy on that Tuesday. Some garments and jewellery might have been strutting down the catwalk moments before. Great range on display and on offer, the pre-loved sale will be featuring nearly new designer clothes, accessories and jewellery at bargain prices. And now a fiver off anything bought as well….
Entry to the Catwalk show is £25 but that includes a glass of wine and entry to the show on it’s first day, so the chance to get the best garments and items first. The sale is open on the Wednesday as well between 09:30 and 3pm, and entry is free.

The show is all about raising funds for the Bobby Van. The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust works with Wiltshire Police to protect over 60s and people aged 18 and over with a disability in their homes by fitting security devices free of charge. It also operates a Stay Safe Online team of volunteers who provide free cyber security advice through home visits and talks to groups. It’s important, it adds a level of security (and advice) that can protect those that otherwise might become victims of unpleasant, disturbing and avoidable crime.
Bobby Van Trust Director Jennie Shaw said: “Embracing pre-loved clothing significantly enhances sustainability by reducing textile waste and conserving resources. In the UK, approximately 49 per cent of used textiles are discarded as general waste, with every person throwing away an average of 35 items a year.
“Choosing second-hand garments extends their lifespan and, lessens the demand for new production and minimises carbon emissions. By choosing pre-loved fashion, we can all play a crucial role in mitigating landfill overflow and promoting a circular economy.
“The event also helps us to maintain our vital service. We receive no funding and we have to raise more than £300,000 a year, so this is a wonderful way of finding some real bargains to refresh your wardrobe and helping a great cause.”
Terms & Conditions for the redeemable voucher: To claim a £5 pre-loved sale voucher email susanna@wbvt.org with proof of ticket purchase. A numbered voucher will be returned by email. One voucher per ticket only, to be used only at the pre-loved sale on Tuesday, May 20. Vouchers can only be used as part payment at the pre-loved sale, there is no cash value. Only original numbered vouchers can be accepted. WBVT retains the right to withdraw the offer at any time.
