
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and motivated shop manager for our two shops in Marlborough. At Prospect Hospice, we provide vital end of life care to patients living with a life limiting illness. We also support their families and loved ones through their difficult journeys. Our shops are at the heart of the charity and our community, raising vital funds and increasing public awareness of the incredible work we do.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days in 7 – to include Sundays and Bank Holidays)
What is the role?
You will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of our two shops in Marlborough. This includes managing two assistant managers and a volunteer team to achieve agreed sales targets, actively promote gift aid and maximise sales. You will be an ambassador for Prospect Hospice, positively promote the aims and values of the hospice to provide an outstanding customer experience for the local community.
You will work collaboratively and engage with the community to build a team of volunteers, attract desirable donations and make the shops a destination.
We are looking for someone who is customer and commercially focused, creative, sales driven and can work with a close knit friendly team. The ideal candidate should have a recent background as a shop manager in either charity or mainstream retail. Experience of achieving targets. The ability to effectively manage a team of staff and volunteers, high standards and excellent customer service and creative visual merchandising skills are essential.
