Students from the popular Year 10 health and social care group recently demonstrated exceptional creativity, teamwork, and leadership when they welcomed members of the Pewsey u3a group for an engaging morning of hands-on activities. The event proved to be a wonderful success, leaving both students and visitors with smiles, memories, and a shared sense of achievement.

From the moment the u3a members arrived, the students greeted them warmly and helped them settle into each activity. Their confidence and enthusiasm set a positive tone for the entire session. Whether guiding participants through craft projects, offering one-to-one support, or simply chatting and creating a relaxed atmosphere, the students showed maturity well beyond their years.
Throughout the activities—ranging from clay model making, painting to creating slime, even board games, the students worked patiently and thoughtfully with their guests. Many u3a members commented on how impressed they were by the students’ kindness and the clarity of their explanations. The supportive environment allowed everyone to take part fully, regardless of experience or ability.
By the end of the session, it was clear just how meaningful the experience had been. The u3a group expressed their appreciation not only for the activities themselves but for the genuine care and encouragement they received. Several members remarked that they had had a “wonderful time” and would be delighted to return in the future.
The event highlighted the value of intergenerational collaboration and showcased the students’ skills, empathy, and dedication. It was a proud moment for the school and a memorable morning for the Pewsey u3a group—one that truly reflected the spirit of community learning.
