On June 11 we reported that a stretch of the A345 just south of Marlborough would be closed for five days from June 18. The work was not done – perhaps the contractors had tickets for the World Cup.

The section affected is from the Manton Drove turning southwards to the top of Oare Hill.
This part of the road was closed for patching and some resurfacing in March this year.
If the situation is the same as in June, access will be maintained for residents and businesses – though some delays can be expected.
Diversions should be in place.
