Taking to Twitter after the House of Commons defeated the Prime Minister in the vote to remove the risk of an accidental No Deal Brexit, outgoing Devizes MP Claire Perry O’Neill applauded the Prime Minister and deplored those who in effect stopped today’s vote on the deal itself.
She wrote: “Does anyone have a groundhog emoji? We needed it today.”
“Parliament is divided, mistrustful, partisan and failing to deliver Brexit. I applaud the PM’s attempt to deliver a good deal against all odds and I’m afraid I deplore the efforts of those seeking to stop him.”
To keep it all balanced, you can watch the new message from the anti-Brexit group Led By Donkeys – it is relevant as it involves a field in Wiltshire plus a tractor and plough. But you have to play it with the sound up.
Led By Donkeys’ campaigning has involved billboard advertisements reminding people what ministers and Brexiters have said in the past and how they have changed their minds or gone back on previous statements. They have also made their point by projecting appropriate news video onto prominent various buildings.
