This morning the Town Council called out for nominations for your Community Champions, real ‘Marlborough Superheroes’, remarkable individuals and groups who contribute to the vitality and wellbeing of our community.
If you feel that there is someone, someones, or a particular group who have made a significant impact across the various aspects of community life, then put their name(s) forward.
The Community Champion Awards will be presented as the main agenda item for discussion and decision at the full meeting of the Town Council on Tuesday 8 April. Awards will be made at the Annual Town Meeting which will take place on Monday 28 April.
The categories for Superhero are:
- Volunteer of the Year
- Youth Leader Award
- Business Community Engagement Award
- Environmental Stewardship Award
- Art and Culture Advocate
- Sports and Recreation Champion
- Educator of the Year
- Health and Wellbeing Hero
- Community Spirit Award
- Young Person who has made a Difference
