At the recent Marlborough Golf Club Championships, the flagship tournament in the Club’s calendar, competition was fierce as more than one hundred players took part in the challenge across a whole weekend, each competing against each other and the prevailing bouts of sunshine, rain and brisk gusty wind.
The main two awards were Men’s Champion, won by Dom Seamon and Ladies Champion, Natasha Chapman. Awards were supported by the club’s main sponsor, Fine & County and presented by the Captain of Marlborough Golf Club, David Woods.
The course held up well despite the lack of rain (drought?) of the preceding weeks thanks to the tireless efforts of the grounds team – and the quality of the greens was noted as ‘never having been better’.
