Thames Water have just issued a notice to confirm that as from today (Thursday 27 November) the hosepipe ban is lifted and we can all water the gardens and wash our cars. Guess when it isn’t raining…..
They do ask, however, that as ‘every drop counts’, we take shorter showers, we turn off the tap whilst brushing our teeth and that we collect rain water in a water butt in the garden.
And, of course they will fix every leak very quickly (no, they didn’t say that).
