Kennet Valley School pupils and staff enjoyed celebrating Comic Relief on Friday 17th March. The pupil members of the School Council organised the day and asked everyone to dress in red. Some pupils also came to school with red hair, red noses and even red faces! As well as collecting a £1 donation per pupil, the School Council also organised additional fund raising, such as selling popcorn and DVDs during break times. Over £100 was raised for Comic Relief.
Senior Teacher, Sarah Hues, said, “The school had an amazing buzz all day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day.
We are so proud of the School Council and all of the pupils who joined in so enthusiastically to raise as much money as they could for this wonderful cause. We think it is great that the children understand why they are raising the money as well as having fun. Well done Kennet Valley School – another ‘Small but Mighty’ achievement!”
