
Police are appealing for any information that could help their investigations into two recent burglaries in the Marlborough area- one in Beckhampton and the other in Manton both late on Monday evening.
The Beckhampton burglary occurred at approximately 11pm on Monday, January 12. Offenders broke into a garage and stolen a red Honda quad bike worth approximately £8,000.
The second incident happened in the Manton area shortly afterwards at approximately 11.30pm. Two petrol strimmers, three leaf blowers, a chainsaw and power tools were stolen.
PC Lucy Willdigg said: “We are currently carrying out further enquiries into these two incidents – we are keeping an open mind but at this stage we do believe they are linked. We’d urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious people or vehicles in the Beckhampton or Manton areas during the evening of January 12 to get in touch.”
