‘Sleeping Beauty’ at The Wyvern Theatre, Swindon

Swindon’s spell-binding festive family treat is finally here (oh yes, it is!) as Sleeping Beauty officially opens at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre.

This year’s show contains an all-star line-up fit for a fairy tale! The Chase’s Jenny Ryan takes to the stage as the wickedly delightful Carabosse, along with Swindon Panto royalty David Ashley as larger-than-life Nurse Nellie Nurofenna Nightcap and the hilarious Ben Goffe as Muddles, returning for his second year after a Best Comic nomination at the UK Pantomime Awards! Abbie Budden brings a touch of West End sparkle and TikTok stardom as Princess Beauty, with Duncan Drury charming audiences as the dashing Prince Scott. Thom Tuck plays King Keir, and Gabrielle Friedman will sprinkle an extra bit of panto magic as the Fairy Slumber.

The all-singing all-dancing ensemble includes Ben Bartlett, Amy Rose Gordon, Harry Reynolds and Holly Anne Rutter and a cast of talented local youngsters to bring the magical fairytale to life, promising a show full of laughter and festive fun for the whole family.

This year’s panto promises to have all of the traditional panto elements you know and love – bags of comedy, oodles of magic and tons of fun. It’s the is the perfect festive treat, full of sparkle and spectacle, to make those magical memories with all of the family.

Sleeping Beauty is Produced by the award-winning Imagine Theatre.  It is Written by Sam Simkin and Directed by David Ashley with Choreography by Charise Renouf.  Daniel Jarvis is Musical Director with Musical Arrangement by Steve Clark. LX Design is by Matt Ladkin with Sound Design by Ari Levy.
