Marlborough College Concert Series in the Memorial Hall – Sinfonia Smith Square (previously called South Bank Sinfonia)
2 March @ 3:00 pm
A special concert to mark the 100th anniversary of the building of the Memorial Hall
The Marlborough College Concert Series enjoys a very close association with London’s Sinfonia Smith Square (formerly Southbank Sinfonia) who perform in the series each year and who are also our professional orchestra-in-partnership at the College.
This year, the Sinfonia will be performing together with the College’s elite singers, Schola Cantorum, singing under the directorship of Mr Adam Meehan-Staines, Director of Chapel Music and Deputy Director of Music at the College. Some changes have been made to the original advertised programme due to indisposition of Mr Simon Over.
Mendelssohn A Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture
Vaughan Williams Flos Campi (Soloist Philip Dukes)
Beethoven Symphony No. 7
Featuring Marlborough College’s Schola Cantorum
Cost £25.00 per head, £12.50 for students
