Pewsey Primary School pupils and staff have enjoyed a whole array of book related activities this week, all designed to celebrate the joy of reading.

Year 6 teacher, Emily Wren, told Marlborough.news, “Pupils at Pewsey Primary School stepped into the pages of their favourite stories as they celebrated World Book Day 2026 with a day full of imagination, creativity and a love of reading.
Children arrived at school dressed as a wide range of well-known book characters, bringing stories to life throughout the classrooms and corridors. From classic literary favourites to modern heroes, the costumes reflected the children’s enthusiasm for books and storytelling.

Throughout the week, pupils returned to school in their pyjamas for a special bedtime story event. School staff shared a selection of favourite stories while the children relaxed with hot chocolate and biscuits, creating a cosy and memorable end to the day.
