Bread Contemporary Art, has just opened in Hungerford. Located in The Emporium on the High Street the gallery has been opened by artists Bethany Perry and Mark Sloper.
Bethany describes herself as ‘an artist that champions self expression and confidence’ whilst Mark is ‘UK Government’s ambassador for the modern art scene, known for his iconic neon glassworks London Calling and God Save the Queen’.
Bethany’s work champions the feminine, self-expression, and the breaking of personal and social barriers. “Through body impression artworks and workshops, I invite women to reconnect with themselves and celebrate their individuality. My mixed-media pieces combine resin and gold leaf to highlight both vulnerability and strength”.
Mark and Bethany have exhibited together at the Affordable Art Fairs, and in galleries across London, and other parts of the country. But after years of creative collaboration, and like minded ideas, they decided to create something by artists, for art lovers. a space that uplifts authentic voices, challenges convention, without the pretence of a typical gallery. Hence Bread contemporary art, in Hungerford.
