Marlborough Cricket Club and the surrounding Community are celebrating the news that the Club has received a £9,000 funding boost from The Hills Group Limited to improve training facilities at their Savernake Ground.
The money has been made available through the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) which is administered for Hills by Community First, the Rural Community Council for Wiltshire.
The club have refurbished their existing net pratice facilities by extending the artificial surface and netting area, allowing practice to carry on when weather conditions would have previously not allowed. The club is currently flying high with all three senior teams sitting in the top three of their respective Saturday leagues.
