Getting lapsed players back into the art of throwing balls through hoops is high on Marlborough’s sporting agenda this September.
The national initiative Back to Netball will be run at the Leisure Centre starting on the week beginning Monday, September 16 with sessions between 11.15am and 12.15pm on Mondays and on Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 9pm.
Sessions are £3 each and are open to women aged 16+.
And from Thursday, September 19, Wiltshire Demonās Basketball Club, in partnership with Wiltshire Council, are offering a new adult basketball session in Marlborough with a view to developing a weekly session.
Using the England Basketball āBall Againā package, the project will provide a relaxed reintroduction to the sport catering for players who have played some basketball, a little or a lot, in the past and is also perfect for those trying the sport for the first time.
The project is open to men and women aged 16+. Sessions start at 7.30pm every Thursday for six weeks at St John’s School.
Both initiatives are being run in conjunction with Wiltshire Council.
