Seven members of the club completed the 13.1-mile course in times ranging from one-hour 32 minutes to two-hours 20 minutes.
More importantly, they raised £4,380 for SWIFT Medics, the team of volunteer doctors who support the ambulance service by responding to serious accidents or other medical emergencies to provide immediate and vital treatment.
Dan Bawden, one of the SWIFT Medics team, said: “We are hugely grateful to all the runners and their sponsors for this fantastic donation which will help bring life-saving treatment to people in Wiltshire and Swindon.”
“We receive no funding from the NHS or government, so are entirely dependent on donations from individuals and organisations.”
The proceeds were handed over to SWIFT Medics on Wednesday evening (March 11) in Marlborough High Street – where they inspected the charity’s latest rapid response car.
For the record the half-marathon times were:
Mitch Bryant, aged 28 (completed the race in 1:32); John Bromley, 38 (1:40); Anil Sud, 28 (1:55); Will Hughes, 35 (1:45); Rachel Cox, 17 (2:17); first team captain Richard Holman, 31 (2:11) and Daisy Beckwith, 23 (2:20.)
