Marlborough’s vibrant and successful Youth Football Club are calling for volunteers to help keep the club serving the more than four hundred registered players (and their families) and seventy coaches who make MYFC what is probably the area’s largest voluntary organisation.
The club offers something vital to the whole Marlborough area community. It’s not just the (traditional) boys youth teams – one hundred and thirty registered players make the girls teams (The Angels) the force they are in the up-and-coming world of junior womens’ football.
And at the other end of the scale, not included in the numbers above are the ‘older’ footballers, those who enjoy walking football, becoming recognised as a very popular and effective way for the retired to enjoy social exercise.
The club are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
– Vice Chairman
– Social Manager
– Website / Email Accounts Manager
– Fund Raiser / Recruitment Manager
– U6/15 Team Manager
Stuart Slater, club chairman said: “All roles would suit those wishing to put time into the community, with a degree of experience and confidence in the respective roles, but by no means experts! Either parents, grandparents, or simply those with community spirit.”
Interested? For more information and role descriptions contact Stuart at email@example.com. If a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is needed the cost will be covered by the club.
“Volunteer, play a part, ask around, keep our club running, serve the girls and boys (and older walking footballers!) in Marlborough.” added Stuart
