Marlborough Youth Football Club (MYFC) marked a significant milestone very recently when they welcomed their 400th player.
This honour went to Clemmie Heaver who joined the youngest girls football group, the U8 Angels.
In Clemmie’s words “I love playing with the Marlborough Angels because the training is so fun and the coaches are very supportive.”
The Club has continued to grow since passing the 400 player mark and they expect to have around 450 boys and girls playing youth football at the Club in the upcoming 2021-22 season.
It’s an enormous achievement given the size of the town (Marlborough is barely 10,000 adults in population) and that the club doesn’t have a fixed base, rather they use a series of pitches across the town for training and matches.
Chairman Stuart Slater’s words capture this astonishing statistic very neatly, simply saying he is’ beyond pride’.
