Marlborough Cricket club first eleven strolled to a comfortable win against Corsham in their first pre season friendly of the 2014 season on Saturday.
Playing at home Marlborough asked the visitors to bat first after winning the toss and Corsham found the going tough against some good bowling from the home side.
With the help of 41 extras Corsham struggled to 132 all out with only Tom Abbott 18, Ned James 17, Andy Davies 19 and Craig Chaplin 18 making useful contributions.
Vice-Captain Will Langton 3-8, star all rounder Ben Head 2-7 and Mark Wingfield-Digby 2-22 were the key men with the ball for Marlborough.
In reply Marlborough reached their target with ease for the loss of just one wicket in the 28th over with again Extras of 49 being the leading scorer, and with Wingfield Digby scoring an assured 37 whilst Nick Crabbe looked composed with 32 not out.
Marlborough will expect a tougher test next week away at Wootton Bassett in their final warm up game before the start of the league season.
