St John’s has today, October 8, launched its first Virtual Open Evening for current Year 6 students and parents. The Virtual Open Evening can be viewed on the St John’s website here
The aim is to replicate the experience of a live Open Evening and includes a virtual tour, incorporating a flight over the school, and virtual 360 degree tours of the key areas of St John’s, together with an opportunity to meet St John’s teachers and to find out about the subjects that students will study in Year 7.
There are also interviews with the Head Boy and Head Girl and a group of current Year 7 students. Another section answers key questions about aspects of life at St John’s including uniform, transport, food, pastoral support, sustainability and information about remote learning plans.
At 6.30 pm tonight there will be a live presentation from Principal, Ian Tucker, and Head of Year 7, Nuala Hawkins, followed by a Q&A session. Year 6 students and parents are invited to join the live event and submit their questions. Details are available by following the link above. A recording of the live event will be added to the Virtual Open Evening webpages soon.
