Wiltshire’s air ambulance was called in on Monday to airlift a window cleaner to Frenchay Hospital,Bristol, after he fell 30 feet from a ladder through the conservatory roof of a house on The Green, Marlborough.
Robin Salkeld, of Church Street, Great Bedwyn, suffered from severe lacerations in the accident while he was working at the home of Trevor and Sally Brown just before lunchtime.
Police were called to Marlborough Common to clear the area so that the air ambulance was able to land safely.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Air Ambulance said: “A patient who fell 30 feet from a ladder and through a conservatory roof was airlifted to a major trauma centre.”
