A Marlborough based business – Wedding Day Dance UK – has just been awarded Highly Commended at The Wedding Industry Awards for the South West in the Special Touches category. The South West Regional Awards Event took place last Monday (20th November 2023) at Aldwick Estate near Bristol and the event was so popular, tickets sold out.
Amy Nelson, who founded the business in 2008, said, “We are over the moon that our customers enjoyed their wedding dance lessons so much, that they took the time to vote for us. It makes me so happy, as the majority of our wedding couples have never danced before. I’m very proud of our amazing team of wedding dance teachers; it’s great that their talent and expertise has been recognized and celebrated. Our category was competitive with 17 other wedding businesses in it, so we’re so happy to be awarded Highly Commended!”
The Wedding Industry Awards recognizes and rewards excellence in the wedding industry. Importantly, the only people who are eligible to vote are clients from the past year. Because all the voters have experienced the service first hand, within the past 12 months, it means the awards are genuine, up to date and a true reflection of great wedding suppliers. This year The Wedding Industry Awards saw a record breaking number of voters, with 26, 854 clients voting for their favourite wedding suppliers across the country.
Amy explained, “Wedding Day Dance UK is run in Marlborough, although the service is available nationwide. We teach many wedding couples first dances in and around Marlborough and also just recently, the parents of the groom, who wanted to learn how to dance ahead of their son’s wedding.
