The Home Start Kennet charity was delighted when Marlborough’s Waitrose store called to offer food boxes for local families. The supermarket donated sixteen boxes packed with items, including ingredients for one of Marcus Rashford’s popular #fulltimemeals recipes.
Home-Start Kennet support young families experiencing challenging times by giving home-visiting support. During covid restrictions, they have expanded their service to offer phone, and outside support, including buggy walks. Pop up play sessions are planned this summer.
Lisa Wakeham (Partner & Community Lead, Waitrose) said, “We are always delighted to support Home-Start Kennet in the wonderful work they do and really pleased that the families enjoyed making the Marcus Rashford #Fulltimemeals recipe.”
Joanne Kent, (Home–Start Kennet, Community Engagement) added, “Our families were thrilled with the boxes – and the pizza tortilla recipe went down well with children! Waitrose are a fantastic support to us, and we are so grateful to Lisa and the team.”
