Two local artists, Heidi Nardoni and Becky Borthwick, are staging an exhibition of their work which celebrates the local landscape from Friday July 2 to July 9. The exhibition is being held at The Hub (@Overton Framing Studio) which is situated at Elm Tree Park, Bath Road, Marlborough, SN8 1PS. All the original art work on show is for sale.
Heidi told Marlborough.news, “Becky and I met five years ago when I was running a landscape painting group. This is our first joint exhibition. All the work is recent, some of it created in lockdown, and it celebrates our beautiful local landscapes in all weathers. As an en plein air painter some of the works were painted outside in the pouring rain.”
Heidi’s exhibits are primarily oil paintings whereas Becky’s are mixed media and watercolours.
“What’s really exciting,” commented Heidi, “is The Hub, where the exhibition is being staged. We really want to celebrate this space which was set up by Amanda Cook to encourage artists to meet, exhibit, teach, learn and play!”
The exhibition’s Opening Night is Friday July 2 from 7-10pm. The exhibition will then be open as follows : Sat July 3 10-2pm/5-7pm, Sun July 4 10-2pm, Mon July 5-Thurs July 8 10-2pm, Friday 9 July 10-2pm/6-9pm. During the week visitors to the exhibition will also be able to meet with an artist at work in The Hub.
