Very special constable heads to Buckingham Palace to collect award

Mike Tupman MBESpecial constable Mike Tupman picked up his MBE at Buckingham Palace on Friday.

Mike was named in the Queen’s New Year Honours List ‘ for services to policing and to the community of Marlborough.’

The 70-year-old has served as a special since 1985. Special constables are supposed to hang up their helmets at the age of 60, but Mike has been given special dispensation to carry on working.
