Following the Isbury Road incident of 7 November last year when a fifteen year old boy was stabbed in the leg a seventeen year old teenager was today – 23 April – sentenced. The teenager was also sentenced for the serious assault of a fourteen year old boy in Royal Wootton Bassett.
The seventeen year old, who can’t be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent after stabbing the victim in the leg in the incident in Isbury Road, Marlborough, and also pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm without intent following an incident on September 7 last year in Noremarsh Park, Royal Wootton Bassett, when he seriously assaulted a fourteen year old boy unprovoked, leaving him with significant facial injuries.
Today, the defendant appeared at Swindon Crown Court. He was sentenced to a six-month curfew and banned from entering Royal Wootton Bassett and Marlborough for three months.
He will also be subject to a youth rehabilitation requirement of 91 days of extended activity.
