A local business, Marlborough Photo Services in Marlborough High Street, is supporting 2nd Marlborough Scout Group this Christmas. They are donating 50 vouchers which each give a Family Portrait Photo Session with a 10 X 8 print included. The sessions normally retail at £60 but are available at £30. If all 50 vouchers are sold then the scouts will receive £1500 towards supporting the many activities that they run throughout the year.
Pete Davies from Marlborough Photo Services told Marlborough.news, “I am very happy to support the scouts. They do a wonderful job preparing young people with skills for life, but this does cost money. For example, they have an opportunity to attend the STEM day at the International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in 2023 but the transport costs for the whole group are £1000.
The photo sessions we are offering are great fun and we take a wide variety of images which are shown to you in a private online gallery – this cuts out all the tricks of other studios who drag you back for a “viewing” and try and pressure you to spend a fortune. We have a large product range at very reasonable prices if you wish to purchase any extras.”
If you wish to purchase a £30 voucher contact Donna Kirby, Chairperson of 2nd Marlborough Scouts, on donna.kirby@wiltshirescouts.org.uk with your name and a contact phone number . The vouchers will be sold on a first come first served basis.
Donna said, “These photo sessions are perfect Christmas gifts for your loved ones. I would like to thank, on behalf of 2nd Marlborough Scout Group, Pete Davies and Marlborough Photo Services for their very generous donation. Without the support of individuals and businesses like Pete and Marlborough Photo Services we wouldn’t be able to provide the things we do for our young people.”
