There will be songs of greeting for the crowds of Olympic torchbearers watchers when they line the High Street in Marlborough on Wednesday.
Marlborough Community Choir will be singing to entertain the crowds awaiting the Olympic torch’s arrival from 10:45am in front of the public library.
“The songs will include old favourites and a few surprises,” choir leader Vanessa LaFaye told Marlborough News Online. “It’s the first outing for the choir’s snazzy new red T-shirts, thanks to a generous donations from Waitrose.”
And she adds: “We hope that everyone will enjoy the music while they way – and even join in with a couple of numbers!”
