Kim Emery, who runs Sing, the Thursday morning choir in Marlborough, is looking for more singers to join the choir to perform in Marlborough’s VE Day celebrations on Thursday May 8th on The Common.
Marlborough Town Council have invited Sing to perform songs of the era and Kim has a chosen a selection which includes: Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Empty Chairs at Empty tables, as well as old favourites such as White cliffs of Dover, We’ll Meet again and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Kim told Marlborough.news, “It’s a nice opportunity for the community to get involved. There will only be six or seven rehearsals. You can try out one rehearsal for free, otherwise each session costs £10.”
Sing rehearses weekly on Thursday mornings at 10.30-11.45 at St Mary’s Church Hall, Silverless Street. Phone Kim on 07939113488 or email kimemerypiano@yahoo.com to book your place.
