Marlborough and District Rotary Club have today presented Marlborough Youth and Community Centre with two basketball hoops and back boards, adding to the range of sporting activities now on offer at the centre.

ayor Mervyn Hall told Marlborough.news, “ These basketball hoops are an excellent addition to the sporting facilities at our Youth and Community centre and I am sure they will provide hours of enjoyment for our young people. I would like to thank Rotary for their continued support for the centre.”
Martin Luxford, President of Marlborough and District Rotary Club, said, “We’re delighted to be able to continue to support the Youth Centre in Marlborough. We’re hoping that as well as providing the basketball hoops and back boards we will be able to meet some of the other needs of the Centre such as providing a sound system. Rotary are also very grateful to Acorn Builders for their support in installing the equipment.”
“Our motto is ‘Service above self’ which basically means fun with a purpose. We enjoy each other’s company and we want to make a difference in the community.”
