The Prospect Hospice is inviting the people of Marlborough and the surrounding villages to join them for a special service this December in memory of loved ones whose loss will be especially felt at this time of year. They call these remembrance events “Light up a Life” services.
For the first time, the charity, which provides dedicated end-of-life care for people across north Wiltshire, is organising a service especially for the many people around Marlborough whose lives have been touched by its work. The service will be at St John’s School on Granham Hill on 15 December at 7pm.
“We are delighted that St John’s School has invited us to hold a Light up a Life service in Marlborough for the first time this year,” said Prospect Hospice’s chief executive Angela Jordan. “Light up a Life is a very poignant event, as it brings together many of the families whose lives we have touched through our work.”
“In recent years we have been unable to accommodate all the people who have wanted to attend our two services in Swindon, so this year we wanted to provide an opportunity for our supporters from the Marlborough area to have a dedicated service of their own.”
She added: “I am greatly looking forward to taking our Light up a Life service to Marlborough for the first time this December.”
Admission to the Light up a Life service in Marlborough is free but ticketed. To book your ticket call Vicki on 01793 816190 or visit www.prospect-hospice.net/lightupalife
