Following on from his impressive ‘Living Art’, ‘Oil’ takes his presentation a stage further, concentrating more on the cutting edge works from developing artists from around the world, with the initial display featuring several major pieces by Broussard and Lynch, along with a sensational ‘Trafalgar Square’ dominating the front of the new gallery, a work by Milan-based Luigi Christopher Veggetti Kanku.

“‘Oil’ is the next logical step for me after Living Art” said owner Justin Cook. “We have the same powerhouse artists that are the basic foundation of the gallery like Luigi, Broussard, JK Brown & JJ Lynch but also newbies Lewie and Yuta Adachi have joined the team”. “And there are more to come, very soon”.
Already, on the opening day notable sales were achieved. “Probably the most satisfying sale so far has been a Yuta Adachi work” he added “Being able to call Tokyo this morning and give him the news was simply a brilliant feeling for both him and me” “Yuta is an up and coming artist in his native Japan, but quickly gaining recognition elsewhere and this fits with ‘Oil’’s mission to unearth the best and challenging talent from around the globe and sell in the U.K.”
‘Oil’ is at 5a Bridge St, Hungerford and open Wednesday to Sunday each week between 11 and 5. Or viewed at www.oil.gallery
