Tory MP Claire Perry and other local politicians will be able to give their answers – and debate — the current turmoil within the parties at a Question Time event in Marlborough next month.
Along with a business woman they will gather at St John’s Theatre on the Hill on Thursday 11 April for the event, organised by Peter Baldrey, head of politics at St John’s Academy.
The speakers will be MP for Devizes Claire Perry (Conservative), Fiona Hornby (Lib Dem), Chris Watts (Labour) and local businesswoman Deborah Rees, who will be answering questions from the public on a range of current issues.
And no doubt Chancellor George Osborne’s forthcoming budget and further austerity measures will be high on the agenda.
Fiona Hornby was the Lib-Dem candidate who stood against Claire Perry at the 2010 general election.
Anyone wanting to submit a question to the panel can do so before the event by sending an email to conference@stjohns.wilts.sch.uk
The doors will open at 7pm and a bar will be available. Admission is free but there will be a collection at the conclusion for the St John’s fundraising campaign.
