Dan’s at the Crown is hosting a bbq and music day on Saturday July 16 starting at 12.30pm. Following the success of the Jubilee Party in the Parade and celebrating the return of the summer marquee to Dan’s rear car-park, visitors will be able to choose a dish from either Dan’s, Bunce’s or Hilliers whilst enjoying music from Haney’s Big House and Bob Bowles.
Dan told Marlborough.news, “We want this to be a bit of a food and music festival. The idea is people can start the day off with some food and some music and then wander into town for some more free music. There’s going to be a whole line-up at The Oak and The Lamb.”
Every dish on the menu will be £6. Dan’s is offering tacos and chimichurri beef; Hilliers, a venison and beetroot dish and Bunce’s, Cuban style pork. It is hoped there will also be a cake-stand from Bunce’s for a sweet treat.
Dan commented, “We really hope this could be the start of something that could become a regular fixture. After Covid, I think it’s great that we can start doing things again. There’s no booking for the event but we have plenty of room and gazebos and the marquee if it rains. Rain doesn’t put festival goers off and shouldn’t do for this. Come along and support us.
