What do you really think of Marlborough? Guess that as most of you reading this will either live in the town or nearby, or if you are part of the Marlborough diaspora having moved away to Swindon, London, San Francisco – or even Marlborough in New Zealand – the fact that you are reading this most likely means you still have some affinity for our town, Marlborough.
And the Town Council is now trying to gauge what you think. They have just launched a survey designed to get such feedback, whilst also looking to find out how you would like it to develop, and like it even more.
Never an easy task. To quote from the Town Council website: ‘The Town Council wants to keep Marlborough at the top of the rankings and shout about the whole town centre. It is determined to do everything it can to make sure the town remains vibrant and attractive for everyone.’
So it’s not just about now, how it is and how it has been (though important that might be), it’s about how the Town can be shaped in future, and shaped in the way that residents and all of those who use and care about Marlborough really want.
Ten questions and a ‘recommendation’ score. The estimated time to complete is quoted as ‘ten minutes’.
The survey will be open for all to complete until 11 October and findings will then be published in early November.
